Description

The 2016 Marquis d'Alsme Becker is pouring deep brick red, the delicate aroma of dark forest fruit tells you that you have a Margaux in your hand. Full bodied, but not heavy, this is a complex blend of grapes and flavours that has nothing going against it. Not as harsh as some Margaux’s are, this wine needs to be savoured in the mouth to explore its full taste.

Château Marquis d'Alesme Becker is a distinguished wine estate located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France. With a history dating back to the early 17th century, the estate spans 15 hectares and features a diverse terroir of gravel, clay, and limestone soils. These soils are ideal for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Recognized as a Third Growth (Troisième Cru) in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, Château Marquis d'Alesme Becker produces wines that are celebrated for their elegance, complexity, and balance. The wines are known for their aromatic richness, showcasing notes of blackcurrant, violet, and spice, supported by fine tannins and a harmonious structure. Under the guidance of the Perrodo family, the estate combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovations, solidifying its reputation for producing some of the finest wines in the Margaux appellation.
